This is a pair of sandals sold to the soldiers in the 1940s. Small and dainty they look like they've never been worn. Red velvet uppers on wooden soles. Velvet has embroidered trim.
Carved out section in the heels shows a island scene with hut and palm tree. Fabric upper is fastened to the shoe base with metal nails and brads.Leather strip covers the edge where nails are installed. The straps are fastened with tiny metal buckles. A beautiful item for display or a WWII collectible item.

Shoe measures 6 inches long on the bottom of the sole.
2 inch wide at the base of the heel
3 inches wide at the broadest part of the shoe where the base of the toes rest.

Some rust on the metal. Light chipping of paint are the edges.
