A beautiful, vintage Red Cliff white ironstone round footed compote dish with lid, in the Sydenham pattern, a reproduction of a very early ironstone pattern.

SALE PRICE $35 - Originally asking $45

The Red Cliff Company from Chicago, IL, in operation from the 1950's - 1980's, produced white ironstone that replicated patterns of early antique ironstone, like the Sydenham pattern shown here. Not antique, but a collectible vintage ironstone piece with an early shape. Beautiful pure white glossy glaze, and in great condition aside from a few manufacturing flaws in the glaze - there's a few tiny air holes in the finial, a very small chip on the edge of the lid that is underneath the glaze, and a small fleck/crack on the side of the lid (shown in last photo).

Measures about 9" tall (including lid), and just under 9" across. Bottom is marked in blue "Red Cliff Ironstone 2".
