Yellow and Black Maple Syrup Pitcher with Sucrose Chemistry Molecule

3.5" Diameter at widest point (not including handle and spout) 3.75" Tall

Holds about 8 oz. of liquid

Sucrose is the main sugar in maple syrup. What better way to honor this wonderful nectar than in this sweet pitcher?
You can put this pitcher in the microwave, and heat up your maple syrup (or honey, or molasses, etc.) before pouring it over your pancakes or waffles.

You could also use is as a sugar "bowl" - just add a little spoon!

I'm originally from Michigan, and watched my father tapping the maple trees in late winter when the sap started running. Whenever I get home to visit during "syrup season", I've taken on the tradition of collecting the sap and boiling it down to syrup. It makes the house smell wonderful, and makes every jar of syrup extra special.

This is a yellow commercial pitcher that I rescued from a boring life. I've added a black ceramic decal with the molecular structure of sucrose.

Decal is fused to the mug and is permanent.
Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Part of my new Upcycled/Recycled series, I'm offering a few items with my designs on commercial ware.

EDUCATIONAL TIDBIT: Did you know that it takes 40 drops of maple sap to make 1 drop of maple syrup? That means that 5 Gallons of sap boils down to just 1 Pint of syrup. No wonder pure maple syrup is so expensive! So savor every drop...
