How often in your life will you have the chance to commission a piece of work that is about the two of you and your commitment to each other? That's what a custom ketubah is.

We will talk (in person if you're in the Denver area, or via phone, email, or skype) about what your ketubah will be. I will make a sketch for your approval, based on our conversations. The ketubah will be handwritten with metal-nib pens and india ink on heavy paper, and if you opt for colorful art, I will paint it with watercolors.

The cost for a custom ketubah varies with the length of the text and the overall size of the ketubah. The example shown here is a anniversary ketubah that has both English and Hebrew text, lots of decoration, and measures about 16" square.

You may use the text shown here, or I can give you other options to choose from, or you can write your own. If I need to translate your text to Hebrew, there may be an extra charge.

Here is a link to a few text options:

Here is a basic contract describing my process. It is a process that has worked for me and my clients hundreds of times over the past 25 years or so:

1. It will be your responsibility to make sure I have all the correct information before I start work on the actual piece. Whatever you need for me to know must appear on the googledoc, with the exception of Hebrew or other images which don't show up on the googledoc. Any such images must be referenced in the googledoc.
2. Once you sign off on the information (googledoc, Hebrew spellings, and sketch of decoration) and pay me the deposit of half the estimated total, I will produce your final artwork.
3. I will send you a picture of the finished artwork for your final approval. I will then make any reasonable and necessary corrections to the text.
4. You will send me the balance, and I will ship you the work.
