Embroidered silk voile blouse, spectacular flowers and greenery. This is something of a head-scratcher - as it has two armholes and a neck, it appears to have been designed as a blouse, but it does not actually take into account the female form in three dimensions. Thus, the previous owner got herself into trouble where it squeezed her at the armpits, there is some discoloration which she tried to disguise with embroidery in the style of the little flowers scattered on the blouse. There is also a little hole in that area on one side.I have been told by an expert that this is machine embroidery, I believe it probably from the 1930s. It is probably ready to be repurposed, whether as part of another garment or perhaps as a lampshade. It is 25 inches long by 20 inches wide.
