A silk batik sarong perfect for brides on the beach! Luxurious Jacquard silk is hand painted in a rich dark silver, finishing with a wave of traditional tribal flowers fading in and out on a jet black background.

If you`re having a beach wedding, consider a silk sarong or pareo to stand out during fun times on the beach with your guests after the ceremony! Also perfect for a hot summer`s day around the neck or bust, or an elegant evening out as an eye catching streamlined skirt.

Our silk sarongs and pareos are meant to double as extra large shawls and wraps!

This piece has been traditionally waxed on textured Jacquard silk before being hand painted. After drying, all our batiks are set with textile fixer, then double boiled and ironed to ensure color steadfastness and long-term durability.

PICTURED HERE: Standard 78 x 45 inch Jacquard Silk.

Standard - 78 x 45 inches (2m x 1.14m)
XL - 98 x 45 inches (2.5m x 1.14m)

Cotton-Silk - A cotton and silk blend. More durable than pure silk and maintains the smooth texture and bright shine.
Jacquard Silk - Sports an underlying weave giving the piece delicious depth and texture.
Satin Silk - Classic smooth and shiny silk!
Chiffon Silk - Elegantly light and sheer - the most delicate and fragile of all the silks.
Peace Silk - A hand woven, no-harm silk suitable for vegans. Has a soft, muted glow and shine.

To give your Silk Batik a long and happy life, please look after it carefully with these tips and hints and a bit of common sense:

- Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Use cold water rather than warm or hot.
- Silk is a natural fibre like hair, as such you may find that a little shampoo will be gentler and give your batik a lustrous, shiny glow as opposed to using harsh detergents.

The luxury of colorful silk batik always makes for pleasantly surprising, exceptionally creative and very welcome gifts!

A Word on Color: We have tried our best to portray the colors of our items. Having said that, please do remember:

- monitor settings DO vary so do keep that in mind as you browse.
- We hand mix all colors which means while we can replicate approximate color, we can never replicate exact color except by fluke.
- Colors are temperamental thingies. Shades change with the weather, time of day, and temperature of the room. Some colors we create are seemingly never seen again! This is the beauty of handmade - having something no one else can ever have.

A Word on Material and Price: Materials may vary slightly depending on what we can get, where, and when e.g. textures of Jacquard we purchase may often differ (although quality will never falter!!). Price varies with the type of material used. While this is due to cost, it is also due to the amount of work and skill required to handle certain silks. Chiffon silk for example, is extremely difficult to work with as it is very delicate and prone to runs during the batik process, and must be hooked to the rack and painted with the utmost care. Peace silk is hand woven and therefore carries a waxy residue as a result of the thread spinning process which enables it to be smoothly loomed. For us, this means a whole 'nother long process of removing this residue so the fabric is susceptible to absorbing color.

Shipping: We do combine shipping! Just send us a message here or on borneobatikraft [!at] if you are interested in purchasing multiple pieces and let`s figure out which flat rate cutoff you fit under!
