This small porcelain bowl has a very unusual effect created by the glaze's reacting to carbon in the kiln. The charcoal gray/black glaze is supposed to be a light teal celadon, like the bottom and inside, but the flames movement along with the added reduction atmosphere created this unique color change. It's size is ideal for tea, rice and cut herbs or vegetables.
Wheel thrown and fired to cone 10 (2350 F) in a gas kiln.
Measures 2.5" tall x almost 4.5" wide (6.3 cm x 11.5 cm) and holds 10 oz.
Food, microwave, dishwasher and oven SAFE.

Each item is individually made by me on the potter's wheel using my custom clay and glazes that I formulate. I take great care and pride in my work to make sure I offer the best product I can. I hope you enjoy using them as much as I like making them.
