On A Budget is inspired by my brother-in-law Eric, whose favorite color is green. I have reformulated this color with green and gold glitter and added a subtle hint of purple. The base is clear with a green shimmer. Looks great over black!

Shown above is 3 coats alone, and 1 coat over black.

These bottles are 5ml minis.

Tips for applying glitter polish:
-Wait a few minutes in between coats. If you go too fast, the previous layer will slide around.
-Try layering over a base color so you won't need as many coats of glitter.
-To help avoid a gritty finish, after your final glitter coat, apply a thicker clear coat (I like Gelous) and then add a coat of quick dry topcoat. This is the method I use when I wear my glitters. :)
-Another way to avoid the gritty finish is to apply a quick dry topcoat when you are done with your final glitter coat. Then wait for your manicure to completely dry. Then apply a clear coat that is not quick dry (like Gelous) and then immediately apply another coat of your quick drying topcoat.

Tips for removal:

The most effective way I have found is the foil method.
-Take a cotton ball and split it up into smaller pieces until you have enough for all your fingers. Tear or cut aluminum foil into 10 pieces, large enough to wrap around your fingernail.
-Starting with your pinky, soak a piece of cotton with pure acetone (regular acetone remover works as well, but you may have to soak longer) and place it over your nail.
-Take a piece of foil and wrap it with the soaked cotton piece securely around your finger. Do this step to the rest of the fingers on your hand. Do 1 hand at a time.
-Wait 5 minutes and remove the foil, the glitter should just slide off easily. You can play with the amount of time to wait depending on your preference and what type of remover you use.

Non foil method.
-This is very easy, you take a piece of cotton or felt soaked with pure acetone and press it firmly on your nail. Do this to all 5 fingers and wait a few minutes, making sure you keep the cotton or felt pressed firmly on your nail. Since there is no foil the acetone will evaporate quickly but this still works for most manicures. If you used 3 or more coats of glitter with multiple coats of topcoat I would recommend the foil method.

About my polish:
Everything is lovingly hand mixed by me. All of my materials (glitter, polish, bottles, brushes, pigments and ball bearings) are brand new. Every glitter I use is cosmetics grade and safe to wear. My polish is cruelty-free and big 3 (DBP, toluene and formaldehyde) free.
