This is a neat engraved image of Kaiser Wilhelm II, his Empress, Augusta Viktoria, and their seven children. The family has been posed in front of a large fireplace and the younger children are lined up like little soldiers. The two older sons, Crown Prince Wilhelm and Prince Eitel Friedrich, are standing behind their father at the left edge of the engraving. The Empress is holding the youngest child, Princess Viktoria Luise, and the other children are Prince Adalbert, Prince August Wilhelm, Prince Oskar, and Prince Joachim. Printed under the image is “Guten Morgen Majestat!” (Good Morning, Majesty). Handwritten on the reverse is “Emperor and Empress of Germany and family – 1892”.

I believe the engraver is “J. Meidinger” of Berlin.

The image measures approximately 3-3/4" wide by 5-1/4" long, with an overall size of 4-1/4" wide by 6-1/2" long. The engraving is beautifully crisp and clear, with just a tiny bit of soiling. The card shows a bit of wear to the corners (this is mostly visible on the reverse) and light foxing around the edges.

Please see the "Shop Policies" section for information on combined shipping and all the small print. Thank you!
