Fun fact about me - I have never ever ever been able to spell the word "silhouette" correctly - anytime you see it correctly in anything I've written, it's all due to spellcheck and those helpful little red lines that appear under the words, then I have to google "silouhette" and then Google helpfully says "did you mean 'silhouette'?" and I cut and paste it so it's correct in whatever I've written. Because of this, I tend to try to avoid the word whenever I can.

There's no avoiding it here since this is actually a set of silhouettes - Little Bo Peep and one of her wandering sheep.

Let's talk about little miss Peep for a bit, can we? I'm assuming she was employed as a sheep herder (sheperd?) but her claim to fame was losing her sheep. And after she loses them, she takes a nap. HOW DOES SHE STAY EMPLOYED? Was it a government gig? Did she have a contract? And that outfit - the bonnet, the ruffled knickers, the big old floofy skirt - that's all cute, but have you ever spent any time around goats or sheep? They stink. I can't imagine that little old Bo didn't go home every night with that whole elaborate outfit smelling like a petting zoo... although if she came from a long line of herders, I suppose her family wouldn't have noticed the smell. Still, she really should have looked into another line of work.

So here they are, hand-embroidered on cotton fabric in silk stitching and mounted in 3 inch by 5 inch flexi-frames and ready to go up on your wall.

Fun fact about art - a set of art - whether it's paintings or sculptures or, yes, embroidery, looks even better than a single piece - it looks more finished and makes you look like even more of an art connoisseur (I'm terrible at spelling connoisseur, too - but, come on, that spelling is ridiculous - it's like hors d'oeuvres) - so whether you're a fan of nursery rhymes, ruminants, bonnets or art, this is the piece for you, perfect for that little place in your life that needs spicing up.
