Here is a beautiful copper vase with a floral etched pattern!

It measures 9 inches tall (23 cm). The base has a diameter of 2.5'' (6 cm).
The object weigs 7.7 oz (220 gr).

The detailed etching work shows daisies, leafs and tulips. The dark brown color is some kind of coating. This type of etched works are known here as Erzincan style, a town in Eastern Anatolia which was renowned for its metal etching. I still see some pieces coming from Erzincan but they tend to have less detail and repeat some set patterns.

The piece shows considerable wear with corrosion, color change and darkening. The dark brown coating has been chipped at several places. There are a few minor dents particularly at the top opening which shows some patina as well.

I am not knowledgeable about this kind of coating so I would recommend caution with cleaning. Very hot water and strong detergents could damage it. I guess it is an option to remove the coating totally and bring to life the nice patterns of the etching. I leave that decision to you.

I believe this piece is about 35-40 years old, has been used as a buffet display and vase but was in storage for several years now.

I use registered mail for shipping and the barcode I purchase will provide basic tracking as well as delivery confirmation. I ship worldwide and accept payments through Paypal. I'll ship within one day of cleared payment. It usually takes between 2-4 weeks for delivery to most locations. Mail pieces leave the country in 3-5 days so the speed mostly depends on the traffic at the receiving end. Most national shippers provide real time tracking at their websites once they accept the mail piece and I'll be glad to keep you updated about the tracking. I can research faster shipping options if you wish.

Thank you very much!
