This white stoneware yarn bowl has been hand thrown and the image of a white cat pushed out from inside to form a high relief image. The yarn feeds out of the cat's mouth for a permanent feed but there is a tail-like cut out in the back of the bowl if you want to change yarns out. Cats are usually the reason that people use yarn bowls so it's a little ironic, though appropriate, that a cat should be the main feature of one.

This bowl measures 3-7/8" high by 5-3/4" wide and is signed on the bottom along with the words "KNITTY KITTY". The cat and the beautiful blue sky background has been colored with underglazes and fired twice to over 2,000 degrees in a ceramic kiln.

Here is a short video showing a KNITTY KITTY in action: http://www.flickr.com/photos/maidofclay/5644922810/in/photostream
