Large, red milk glass compote bowl has a lovely scalloped rim with red on the outside and the classic milky white of milk glass on the inside. The outside has a pattern of dots and leaf/flower motifs with a pedestal base in the same pattern.

The underside of the base is marked as follows:
"E.O. Brody Co. M 6000
Cleveland, O.

Bowl measures 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall and 6.75 inches (17.1 cm) in diameter across the top. The base measures 4 inches (10.2 cm) in diameter, and the actual bowl part is 2.75 inches (7 cm) deep.

Excellent vintage condition. The red on the outside is in good shape with only a few minor stains and no cracks, chips, or scratches. The white inside is clear of stains, cracks, chips, and scratches. There is a raised line that runs through the center of the bowl on the outside (see last picture) that was made during the production process.

Frequently asked questions about VintageSoup

You betcha! Just let me know in the Note to Seller section of the checkout process and tell me what you would like written on the note. Etsy gifts are the best!
Absolutely! If a customer purchases more than one item at the same time, I will pack all the items into one box (or as few boxes as possible) and then refund any shipping money that is left over.
Good question, I get asked this a lot. So most of the items come from local thrift stores like Savers, Goodwill, and some smaller area thrifts. Occasionally items come from garage sales and estate sales. And every once in a while, I'll find an item that fits my fancy at an antique store, usually when I'm down south visiting family.
