Here is a handsome Hammered Copper Pot, probably Middle Eastern in origin. If this copper pan could talk - this wasn't made for the tourist trade, I believe it had a long life as household cookware. It is from the estate of a woman who travelled extensively in the East, so it may have originated there, although it also resembles early American cookware. It is quite sturdy, if it were a horse, it would be a Clydesdale. The sole flourish on it is the oddly delicate hook at the end for hanging. It has a fissure in the rim at about 11 o'clock, see last photo. There is very little oxidation, although its cooking days may be over. Seriously rustic. 18 inches long and about 8 inches in diameter.

Ships Parcel post.
