SUBJECT: I'm sorry to say I know nothing about the artist, Sharon Blaine, who painted the exquisite watercolor from which this print was made, because her sensitive eye and seemingly instinctive appreciation of horses make this painting a marvel, I think. It's a shame she didn't paint thousands of horses (which it appears she didn't, since her work is so hard to find). I strongly suspect this simply-framed vintage print dates well prior to the 1980s, but I can't verify it since so little information is available about the artist. I've seen a similar print of her watercolor portrait of a dog that was dated to the 1950s, and that's my only really clue. Such a gorgeous chestnut horse.

HORSE NOTES: What's that odd little nub on the ring of the cavesson on this classic English bridle with its full-cheek snaffle bit? The artist's watercolor is so meticulous and precise, I'm sure she didn't invent that detail. Just look at how well she captures the softness of the horse's nose and lips. Kissable.

ITEM DETAILS: This framed vintage print measures 12 x 16 inches and is in pristine condition. The frame has a plastic-like "chrome" overlay sealed around the underlying metal structure, and there is a tiny, barely-visible bend at the back lower right corner of the frame. See that in the first photo. The cardboard backing on the frame is stamped "Hamilton Glass Products, 2000 Chestnut Street, Vincennes, Indiana, 45791 - Reorder No. PIC502A."

SHIPPING & HANDLING: Framed artworks are padded with care in bubble wrap and shipped in rigid secure packaging within two business days of payment.

VINTAGE: All vintage and antique items have unique histories and are offered for sale in exactly the condition they were found. They are sold “AS IS.”
