Object: Earrings
Category: Personal – Jewelry
Material: Shell, glass, copper
Length: Approximately 2 inches from the top of earwire

Artifact Analysis:
In the heat of summer, it is certainly not uncommon for the folk of Dewpointe to go swimming. They live along the coast, after all, and the coolness of the ocean is a welcome respite from the beating sun. It is also not uncommon for people to find treasures while they swim—unusual shells, shiny bits of seaglass, even the occasional mermaid treasure.

These earrings boast iridenscent orange shells as their focal beads, shimmering like the surface of the water. Indeed, they look like they could have been found on the beaches of Dewpointe—dropped by a mermaid, and recovered by someone seeking refuge from summer’s heat.
