What a unique, heartwarming and absolutely bitchin' vintage african sisal bag from the 80s. I was obsessed with mine and my mom's were to die for back in the day! This one however, is different in some ways you might have already figured out by now. First off, elephant in the room, or rather, teddy bear. And not just any adorable 1980s motif geek chic teddy bear but one that is appearing to float along carelessly with his heart shaped balloon and his lil' tongue sticking out. Oh how I wish I could be more like this little bear, with his lackadaisical gait and his childlike abandon, with no worries for tomorrow or for bills or rent or audits or the zombie apocalypse or just the garden variety old timey style apocalypse for that matter. Does he care? No, not in the least. If you'll pardon a old Southern Christian zombie for referencing scripture on a Sunday afternoon, I'd be much obliged. Like the lillies of the field he neither toils nor spins. Well, he does spin a little.
Anyway, get into this bag and it might just be life changing for you. No promises of course, cause that would be a ridiculous thing to actually try to sell but I like to try and paint a picture, ya'll. Clearly this bag is precious but also very conversation-starting and will hold all sorts of goodies at all your long distance moto trips and hells angels mixers this season. The other diff is the sisal straps instead of leather straps like most sisal bags I find. No biggie, they are in great shape and just give it a different look, if anyone is actually looking at the straps which they will not be with this teddy bear coolin' out on front. Its in good condition as far as the sisal is concerned, but unfortunately some of the red from the now bleeding heart balloon has bled into the sisal and you can see it on one side really more than the other. So just flip the purse over to the "good side" and let all your cares and worries just float away to hell where they belong. And this might be the only appropriate time to actually let those words spill out of your mouth... "let it bleed".....
Yeah, I went there.
