A vintage Royal Arrow portable typewriter in a grey anti-glare, crinkle finish from the 1950's with glass-top keys. This was a very popular model for authors, including Mr. Ernest Hemingway. All of the moving parts are in working order, however, a minor tune up, cleaning and oiling would probably be a great idea. It does need a new ribbon as the existing one is faint and dry and it types 10 characters per inch (Pica typeface). Ribbons can be easily found for sale online. Normal wear and tear for its age, with light scuffing but no major dents or cracks.
Everything advances as it should and it still has that great typewriter bell sound. It comes with the original case, which is a golden wheat color on the outside and the inside is a deeper, solid burgundy red, it is also in good vintage condition and it comes with the original key. This model was sometimes referred to as "Grey Magic" by Royal, which references their patented Magic Margin feature. The typewriter measures 12" x 11" x 4 3/4" and the case measures 12" x 12" x 6".
