This is a lovely achaeological find unearthed from the English landscape. It is a cast lead toy soldier / bugle horn player, c. 1920s.

The figurine has a wonderful patina of age, having been lying in the ground for many years. The colour and patina is lovely.

Dimensions - 1 by 3 inches.
Condition - Timeworn beauty, patina, strong - as seen/as found.

This piece of English archaeology has a moving poignancy and understated beauty. It would make for an attractive display under a glass dome or as part of a curiosity cabinet, still life or collection.
