This Toaster deserves to be in a Museum but your Kitchen Countertop is the next best spot.

Oh my goodness, how do I begin to describe this Retro Treasure? It has to be the coolest Toaster I have even come across. I am almost 100% positive it has never been used and I would consider it to be in Pristine Vintage Condition.

I believe this is a pretty standard Pop-up Automatic toaster but the Scandinavian decoration is so funky and the Colors Pop out even more then your bread. The front and back of the toaster has an Avocado Green background with a Red Tree and Flower design. The sides are in an off white and the Toaster Cover has a Cream background with flowers and vines in Red, Orange, Aqua, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Plum, Brown and Several shades of Green. With the whole design outlined in Black. The design also reminds me of the detail seen in the Pennsylvania Dutch Communities and their family signs and crests.

Once the toaster cover is off, you will notice a Stainless Steel top where there is a 2 slice side-by-side openings for the bread or toast. There is also a Stainless Steel handle which flips down while in use or back up for easy portability. The underside of the toaster cover is marked in Royal Blue writing: "fashioned by HITACHI & 5 flower"

The sides of the toast are filled with funky surprises too. One side has the handle to depress to start the toasting or heating element and has the following markings:
HITACHI TT-600 automatic toaster and a knob with the toasting levels 1, 2 and 3 as well as in Japanese characters. Below the #1 is another level which is only in Japanese and I have no idea what it means. There is also a logo in a maroon square with each corner 'clipped' off with a circular design which I think has an S I J in the center of the open circle and the # 372187 which is all in gold.

On the opposite side, there is a large round 'crank' handle which retracts and rolls the electrical cord back into the toaster itself.

The bottom of the toaster has a trap door to clean out crumbs and also has similar markings in both English and Japanese which are found on the side with the push down handle to work the toaster.

There are 2-3 very small nicks in the paint on the side of the cover and body of the toaster but you really need to look closely to see them and does not take away from the beauty of this piece. I did test the toaster and it heats up and seems to be in perfect working order but did not want to use it to toast bread or do anything to otherwise take away from this rare and unusual item.

Approx measurements are: 7 1/4" (h) x 10 1/2" (l) 5 1/2" (w); & 9 3/4" (h) including the handle in its upright position.

Don't wait, this is truly a One of-a Kind Find...

Please convo me with any questions you may have and I will also be happy to send additional photos if you would like.
