Enchanting antique 1914 Egyptian pharaoh fraternal compass fob. Features a darkened brass metal front with an embossed Egyptian pharoah at the top, enameled "tusks" down the sides and a small glass covered non-working compass in the center at the bottom. The border of the compass reads "Atlanta 1914 Imperial Council AAONMS" (Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America). The backside is a reddish coppery colored metal with flecks of gold marked "Whitehead Hoag CO N.J." There is a single opening at the top of the piece for hanging. Measures 4.4cm x 3.3cm (1-3/4 inch x 1-1/2 inch). Plenty of wear from over the years including tarnish and verdigris on the metal, scuffs and scratches on the white enameling, light soiling inside the compass area and the compass feels secure but is slightly loose (wiggles) and may require reinforcement. Heavy metal wear and discoloration on the backside. This is a one of a kind piece here at Treasure Booth :)
