i hate to throw away anything in my little shop. whenever i rescue a piece of old lumber and need to cut it down a little, all those pieces get put aside for projects like this.

how "green it is": the scraps of the scraps assembled into unique wall art. reclaimed 200-year-old chestnut, antique barn wood, vintage mahogany, good ol' old oak, a smattering of pallet wood and more make up these pieces. a true buffet of reclaimed wood bliss.

i wanted this to be a little rough around the edges and "dangerous," so most of the pieces i broke by hand instead of cutting with a saw and didn't sand or treat any of it. well the backing frame is made of scrap pine and stained with an eco-friendly, homemade black dye...

this is one of a set. they are being sold separately. check the other one out here:

each work is about 26" wide and around 3 feet or less from the highest point on the top to the lowest point on the bottom. the average piece of wood is around 2 feet long or so...

thanks for looking!
