The Ancient Taino people left behind beautiful petroglyphs giving us an insight into their past lives and culture. The coqui frog is a national symbol in Puerto Rico and the species is currently endangered. Many Taino Indian stories nd legends include the Coqui. The beloved coqui frogs are found in much of the Taino art such as pictographs and pottery.

The image was deeply engraved (sandblasted) on the face of this green aqua terra jasper stone pendant and filled with metallic green paint. The pendant is 30x40mm (1.18 x 1.57 in). The lovely pendant bail is sterling silver (0.925).
