A pretty necklace from the 30s featuring a semi-circle shaped carved Bakelite rose at the center piece with two arrow-shaped filigreed brass by the side and a brass drop hanging below the rose. The rose is in a deep butterscotch color and the back of the rose is flat. The necklace consisted of etched long links connected with brass balls and brass jump rings. There is a warm patina over the necklace and some tarnishing to one of the filigreed brass arrows. The necklace closes with a barrel ball clasp which also has some verdigris on it. It opens by unscrewing the ball clasp. I was told it can be removed using baking soda and water/lemon juice. Overall in a lovely vintage condition.
