This is my second in a series of mid-1800s gowns that I am calling "Garden Party Girls" for American Girl dolls. My concept for the series is to incorporate my wonderful collection of floral vintage hankies - the fabric in these is so finely woven, perfect for doll clothing. I will pair the hankies with premium cottons, and pay extra special attention to quality trimmings and detail. I will make two of each, using one-half hankie for each gown. You might call these Garden Party Girl gowns - "two-of-a-kinds"!

This gown modeled on the lovely Cecile has an apron overskirt made from a lovely and delicate vintage hankie. To complement the hankie I've chosen crisp polished cotton with a slight sheen. Trimming the square neckline is hand stitched red cotton cluny lace. Five dainty 1/8" buttons adorn the bodice. The same red lace is applied to the sleeve cuffs and trims the hemline. A lovely red and white striped ribbon encircles her waist, and two lengths of matching ribbon are included for your doll's hair. The bodice is fully lined, and closes in the back with three small buttons and handworked button loops. My name label is sewn inside. Interior seams are serged for tidiness and durability.

I am including a wooden clothes hanger as a thank you for your purchase.

I have made two identical dresses- as identical as I can possibly make them!

This gown and hair ribbons will ship first class. Delivery confirmation in the U.S. My doll and any other accessories stay with me!
