Vintage prints are taken from Portfolio 5 of the 1958 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Seminars in Art book series. As part of the Book of the Month club, this art Seminar series was subscription that sent new portfolios of prints every month along with a book to study the art and learn to appreciate fine art. Each book contained a dozen unbound full color prints of selected works.

I decided to keep this matching pair of vintage prints reproducing Japanese colored woodcuts from the period 1708 to 1715 together. Frame them and make a lovely addition to your wall decor.

The first Japanese vintage print is called:

Woman Dancer with a Fan and Wand - She is graceful and serene and represents the organic beauty of Japanese art while mixed with the well balanced discipline of its artistic traditions.

The second vintage print is called:

Actor Dancing - He has a blockier and harder-edged design, perhaps reflective of his masculinity and the power of the samurai swords that he holds.

Each print is a full color reproduction measuring 12-1/2" h x 9-1/2" w. The prints have some white space around the edges, about 1 inch on the top and about 2 inches on the sides and 1 inch on the bottom.

The print is on heavy paper stock and in excellent condition without tears or blemishes.

It is suitable for framing or can be used to enhance a collage or decoupage project. This fine image could also be scanned for use in new artistic works.

This print ships within the United States. I will send it by U.S. mail with stiff cardboard or a manila folder around it to prevent bending, folding and tearing during transit.

If you have any questions please convo me.

Thanks for looking and please peruse my other listings. Favorite my store because I'm always going through my pile of estate sale finds and finding interesting pages from vintage books and sometimes putting together some upcycled wall decor too.
