Hunab Ku is a 'supposed' supreme deity worshiped by the Yucatec Mayans; also referred to as the "God of gods" or "Only God". Hunab Ku was repopularized in New Age beliefs based on the works of Domingo Martínez Parédez (1953) and Jose Argüelles (1987). The Hunab Ku symbol now used in Mexican art and textile is a modification from Argüelles that somewhat resembles a yin yang symbol with a spiral galaxy or Milky Way.

The Hunab Ku design image was deeply engraved (sandcarved) on the face of this white jade stone pendant and filled with black paint. The pendant is 30x40mm (1.18 x 1.57 in) in diameter. The lovely bail is sterling silver (0.925).
