Old number # 8 recent
Here is a cab from this old and legendary mine in Nevada, this mine is no longer in operation mining turquoise. It was consumed up in a large gold mining operation. This Is the mine that was famous for spiderweb turquoise, When you heard the name # 8, you knew that the stone would be spiderweb. This material is very rare and hard to find and has not been available for many years except for old stashes of It.# 8 is becoming very very valuable. Every time I have found any in the past year they do not want to sell the rough. The cut cabs that I have found range about $10.00 to $ 100.00 per ct. This is part of a old stash I came across from a former major mine owner. This material is stabilized which is one reason that the cabs I cut from it can be very large. I have a good stash of natural and even a large stash of the extremely rare white # 8, but that material is almost priceless. Here is an opportunity to own original # 8 that has been stabilized and nothing else. This gets it down into the affordable range. For those of you that lump stabilized all in the same category need to wake up. Stabilized can be high grade and very pricey also. High grade stabilized will cost more than medium grade natural. So if you are tired of looking for that elusive large affordable # 8,here is the answer. This material is very limited and I have a little stash and when that is gone that is all that will be ever available. The stash from the mine owners estate is all gone ,The mine is all mined out and gone. The quality and patterns this material has is awesome. Own a piece of turquoise History from the Original old # 8 turquoise mine. This is old stash material and mined many years ago.Copyright @ 2006 Jim Saunders .
