This is a piece of wearable art made from a drilled piece of beach pottery. I have used acrylic paint and charcoal on this, then a protective layer of lacquer that doesn't change it's natural matte finish.

It is strung and tied on two hemp cords, together with some Czech glass beads, Indonesian glass beads and vintage Japanese ceramic beads.

The pendant measures approximately 3 x 2,5 cm.
Length of necklace is adjustable.

Jizo is a Buddhist helper/bodhisattva. He appears in different countries also, such as China and Korea, but is best known in Japan. Jizo is the japanese name for this being. He is known to be the helper of all beings, but specifically the helper and protector of children, women and travellers.

Note: Please be mindful when you are wearing my jewelry pieces. I try to make them as durable as I can, but they still need that you are cautious when it comes to water and the risk of making scratches.
