Still present in every Dutch household: the breakfast toast ('beschuit') tin, especially made to house the round shaped rolls of 'beschuit'.

These two were made by Verkade, an old and famous biscuit factory from Zaandam, a town very close to Amsterdam. They show flowers in red and green printed on a yellow background. The company seal is stamped on the bottom. The tins are quite bruised from their previous life, but all the more pretty for it!

Of course, the tins can also be used to store cookies, spaghetti, macaroni, rice, wool, crafting supplies, screws/nails, etc, etc.

Diameter 10.5 cm / 4.1 in
Height 21 cm / 8.2 in (including lid)
