One ounce of pale grey angora rabbit fiber from "Boris". This long staple prime fiber was gently handplucked when Boris was shedding and is so very soft and wonderful to spin alone or to blend with other fibers. Angora has alot of "presence" so even if you blend as little as 10% in with your other fibers it will have a noticable effect.

Angora breeders refer to this color rabbit as "black chinchilla". The fiber is a very pale cool-tone grey, lighter in color than the grey fiber from a "black" angora.

The fiber is very clean but it has not been washed. Because wet angora fiber felts so readily, handspinners generally wash angora after the yarn has been spun. This causes the yarn to "bloom" and giving it that fluffy halo so characteristic of angora. Washing after spinning will also remove any traces of natural oils or rabbit scent which might be present.
