In wonderful condition!

Here we have a denim blue cotton chambray, long-sleeved women’s embroidered shirt from the American Bicentennial in 1976. Size is Small. The left sleeve has the Declaration of Independence with a quill pen and inkpot, the right has the Liberty Bell.

There are two buttoned front pockets with a military drum and a colonial style American Flag on them. The back is a marvelous rendering of the American Bald Eagle in gold, brown and white with the shield of the Union and “USA” in red, white and blue over his head. “1776-1976” is cross-stitched in brackets beneath. Clean and ready for its new home.

One button at each rounded cuff. All buttons are present, no holes or stains. Longer in the back than in the front, rounded. Tag has an S for Small, reads “TopsAll, 100% cotton, Sanforized, machine wash separately, warm water do not bleach, tumble or line dry, iron or press. Made in British Hong Kong.”

Laid flat and buttoned up, it measures:
23” sleeve length
19” pit-to-pit
17” at the waist.
18 ½” at the hips
28 ½” overall length in front, 32’ in back.
