This vintage seafood dinner menu from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, California will make you wonder whether there really are other fish in the sea......it is extensive! It also has an amazing vintage art print on the cover of fisherman out in the bay to boot.

It is a lightweight cardboard bi-fold menu from A. Sabella Sea Foods Restaurant measuring 12" by 9 5/8" folded closed. It has the print of an original watercolor painting on the front of fisherman in the bay with a light blue background. It is lightly stamped "SOUVENIR" on the front. It has red, and dark blue printing throughout with an ivory inside and back. It is probably from the 1940s.

This SF restaurant served every seafood imaginable for a great price and they knew how to keep the cocktails coming (listed on the back):

Broiled Salmon with Lemon Butter, potatoes and vegetable: $.90
Whole Cracked Crab: $1.45
Whole Large Lobster: $2.75
Crab Cioppino: $1.10
Whiskey Sour: $.45
Their best champagne- Charles Hedsick or Monopole 1937: $10.00

The inside of the menu has a fabulous vintage sketch of fish with a monocle and cigarette holder. The inside is very slightly yellowed with age but completely readable. There are a few faint tea-colored stains on the back cocktail menu. Even just the extensive cocktail menu would be cool framed and mounted.

If we could only go back in time, we could taste "the driest martini in the world" ----for 40 cents! Cheers......
