There is no doubt the owner of these needles did his/her patriotic duty in knitting for the troops. The blue can be fainting seen on the tip of the knitting needles. How many years did these needles keep busy and how many socks or helmet hats were made? None the less, they are a real treasure.

Susan Bates made these special patriot needles during WWII for those knitting on the home front. Even school children were encouraged to spend their free time knitting socks as well as men.

Enjoy a piece of history with these needles.

Convo me if you have any questions.
