The necklaces in this collection were inspired by the ancient geoglyphs in the Nazca Desert of southern Peru created by the Nazca culture. There are hundreds of figures that range in complexity from simple linear lines to more complex designs. The Nazca Indians made these lines between 400 and 650 AD. The largest figures are over 200 meters and were drawn on the ground to be seen by the Gods in the sky. Some of the shapes include hummingbirds, jaguar, and fish. The designs in my triangle collection are loose interpretations of these geoglyphs.
