This 2 1/2" vase is perfect for a fistful of tiny blossoms--forget-me-nots, here--offered by a small beloved hand.

I made tiny vases to solve a problem in my own life: what to do with precious bouquets of lawn flora presented proudly by your darling? “Mama, this is for you!” And must be displayed with equal pride! But a couple of stems of clover sunk miserably into even the smallest bud vases I had. I would try to float little blossoms in bowls, but I wasn't quite satisfied. So when I started to throw smaller pots, a wee “mama vase” was a top priority. Lucky friends requested my extras for “choose something” birthday gifts, and now I'm sharing the love even farther! This particular vase is a bit large for that clover (I have smaller!), but still is quite nice for violets or (pictured*) a snipping of mini mums from your porch pot.

Wheel-thrown porcelain blend clay, glazed a soft white with a touch of green on the rim, and fired to a sturdy cone 6.

A perfect gift for your favorite mama.

(or for yourself; wouldn't a little bunch of posies by _your_ computer monitor make your day?)

*neither pictured prop, mums nor 3-year-old, are included. The mums, alas, are last season's, perishing with the crush of our freak October snowstorm, and the 3-year-old? Ah, he is mineminemine....
