The newest addition to the dinner plate family, "Elizabeth" makes her appearance and is stealing the show! I first made this design in a small plate and have since received numerous requests for a dinner plate in this design, so here she is!

This listing is for one Deep Dish Dinner Plate, 9.5", thrown with Chocolate Brown clay and glazed with Rustic Blue/Gray glaze. This design is named "Elizabeth." Each plate turns out slightly different because they are glazed by hand, but it will look very similar to the pictures.

If you're anything like me, when you spend hours preparing a meal, you also want to present your food to your family or guests on dinnerware that adds charm and personality to their eating experience. It's all about presentation! I've spent years collecting vintage and new Mexican pottery for this reason. Finally, inspired by the birds and ornament found in these Mexican and Spanish pieces, I decided to create my own line of dinnerware.

I throw each plate on the wheel and paint the glaze by hand. The designs are painted in a resist material, after which I apply glaze. Because the glaze does not stick to the resist, these areas turn out chocolate brown, the natural color of the clay.

I use commercially certified non-toxic clay and glazes. Dishes can go in dishwasher, although for best wear and tear I recommend hand washing, because I notice pottery getting chipped more when it is being loaded in and out of the dishwasher.

Feel free to convo me if you'd like a different set put together to meet your needs!
