An assemblage of birds, an egg, a turtle shell, and odds and pieces form this wonderfully natural gathering.

I brought together my favorite whites and creams with vintage book pages, and then added a great touch of lime with the bird and map pages.

Everything fell in to place with the direction of this piece when I found the little turtle shell while on a walk. Perfect timing!! It's amazing how one little discovery can direct a piece. I also loved sewing the texture onto the old book page, along with adding the bird scratch marks.

Combine that with an old belt, fuses, an old fuse box, a strainer, ruler, and some old washers floating on a branch, and you have the makings of a perfect spring gathering.

This piece was created using an old wooden artists box that I found while trash glancing on a drive through the neighborhood. What a find!!!!

This piece measures 18" tall x 13" wide x 1-1/2" deep
