This is my interpretation of a Japanese style tea bowl. This is hand thrown on an electric wheel and then altered. This clay body for this bowl was made from 100% reclaimed/recycled clay and fired at high temperatures (above approximately 1300 C or 2372 F). This was a nine day firing.

I was a bit wary about using the recycled clay but it turned out really well. I was told that the clay included a mixture of clay such as porcelain, kentucky stone, WSO, and B Mix to name a few.

I added (wedged in) some organic material to the clay which burned out in the firing process.

Although this is in the style of a tea bowl, it can be used for anything; cereal, rice, ice cream or whatever you like.

This item is dishwasher and food safe.

Dimensions: ~2.75 in. H x ~4 in. W
