An incredible late 1930s-early 1940s locket ring mounted with a shell cameo. The ring has a thin band that is chased with flowers on three sides. The face of the locket is trimmed with a decorative frame and studded with four small flowers. Inside the frame is a beautifully carved shell cameo. The locket itself is shaped as a book and hinges open at the spine. Inside are two oval photo compartments, currently holding original photographs of a man and woman. Both picture rings are intact. The locket closes with a tight snap and the ring is in perfect round. There is wear to the gold plating, giving the ring a two-toned appearance (silver/brass) in most places. Overall tone is warm and condition is outstanding.
