80/10/10 superwash Merino/Cashmere/Nylon 4-ply fingering 435yds/100g

Hubble Space Telescope image that inspired this colorway:
hubblesite.org/gallery/album/pr2011011a/

In celebration of the 21st anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope's deployment into space, astronomers at the Space Telescope Science Institute pointed Hubble's eye to an especially photogenic group of interacting galaxies called Arp 273. The larger of the spiral galaxies, known as UGC 1810, has a disk that is distorted into a rose-like shape by the gravitational tidal pull of the companion galaxy below it, known as UGC 1813. A swath of blue jewels across the top is the combined light from clusters of intensely bright and hot young blue stars. Arp 273 lies in the constellation Andromeda and is roughly 300 million light-years away from Earth.

About this yarn:

Zero G Sock is an 80/10/10 blend of Merino/Cashmere/Nylon. The cashmere is cloud-soft, the merino springy and plush, and the nylon adds strength into the yarn. The fibers are well-combed to prevent pilling. The result is like floating in zero gravity.

While this yarn is machine washable in cold water, hand washing can extend the life of the garment. Lay flat to dry.

This colorway is available as a custom order. Note that all my yarns are hand-dyed and no two skeins are the same, despite similarities.

This item is multi-colored in indigo, butterscotch, and dark taupe tones with a range of intermediate colors. This listing is for one 100g skein. You are buying the yarn shown in the picture. The skein is shown before and after re-skeining, so you have a better idea of how the yarn will look knitted/crocheted up. I take pictures that represent the color/texture of the item as accurately as I can. Please remember that monitors vary in how they render colors. If you have any questions, I welcome your conversation.

All my yarns are hand-dyed one at a time, using high-quality, professional dyes in a non-smoking, pet-free home.
