Beautiful flowing shapes on these Carltonware pieces from the Mid Century Modern era of the 1960s.

The cruet set is from a range called 'Windswept', and features biomorphic flowing organic shapes in natural colours of deep and glossy conker brown and a pale creamy glaze.

These salt pepper and lidded mustard pots are shaped like little mushrooms, and are similar in form to Eva Zeisel's 'Schmoo' shakers. They sit on a kidney-shaped ceramic tray moulded with 3 small depressions.

The set is in great condition with no damage - there is a very faint surface crazing line down one side of the pepper pot, which does not affect it at all. The base of the tray is marked with the Carltonware backstamp and a pattern number, too difficult to read.

The tray measures 18 cm/7" x 9 cm/3.5", and the salt and pepper are 6.5 cm/2.5" high. The set weighs 238 gms and the estimated packaged weight is 600 gms.

I have several pieces from this range on offer, so do check my stock - ask me about postage discounts if you want more than one item!
