This 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch paperback book was originally published in 1977. This copy is a fourth printing published in 1985. It features lovely seasonal recipes like violet vinegar, bisque of garden pea and rhubarb angelica pie inspired by the Shaker community that once existed at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. The book is illustrated with Shaker "spirit drawings" simple, natural images that they believed embodied eternal gifts of love and hope.

This 92 page book is in good condition. Its spine is in very good condition. It does not appear to have been opened much. The pages are clean with no stains, tears or writing inside. There was an adhesive tag on the back cover that has left a mark and the bottom of the front cover and first few pages are slightly bent.
