Two small vintage French metal snail plates.

What is so often associated with France? Besides Pastis, Lavender and the 'fleur de lis', yes, eating snails.
I found these two metal serving plates on a brocante in the region Burgundy, a region known for its Burgundy life, meaning they enjoy eating and drinking and have a rich kitchen.

The plates are visibly used, old and even repaired. The former owner must have loved snails!
These plates would make gorgeous decoration on the kitchen wall.

They both measure 22 cm's in diameter, this is including the handles.
In inches this will be around 8.65"
