Cornet King Cleveland 602

This cornet has been my partner on many concerts, in little smoky jazz bars all over Europe.
It was at the Dutch North Sea Jazz festival on July 14 1996, and on the Finnish Porri Jazz festival a few days later. I was warming up a few meters away from BB King, BB King has heard this horn playing! I was playing this on the Belgian Dour festival, one hour before Iggy Pop stood on the very same stage!

The instrument has some marks and scratches, yes, because this instrument has lived!
It is still in good working order though, the dents and scratches only serve to give it it's character.
It has a Serial no 344524, which puts the manufacturing date between 1955 - 1960.

It will be send in the case (mark Conn) on the photo, with the mouthpiece of the photo.
If you are in the neighbourhood you can come and try it out, and we can jam along a bit, I especially like the Chet Baker style, or the Miles Davis slower pieces..
