A pristine white, glittering eye-catching bottle topper, a soft and pretty accessory for the kitchen or table. The opaque white base is accented by shimmering aqua and golden dichroic glass. As you move and the light changes, the colors change and shift. The solid glass cabochon is mounted on an Aanraku base with heavy chromed stainless steel and a flexible rubber gasket for keeping your chosen wine, oil or other liquids fresh. This is a large wine stopper with some weight to it, so it nicely balances the look of the bottle beneath it.

Enjoy this in your own kitchen or give it as a unique house warming gift that will be well used. Either way, rest assured that no one will have one exactly like it! The round glass cabochon measures approximately 2 1/4 inches wide and the stopper is approximately 5" long. Do not clean in a dishwasher, please clean by hand.

To get the desired shape and size involves cutting, grinding, cleaning, firing, some additional cold work and then a second firing to pull all of the design elements together. The piece was gradually fired to 1475 degrees, then a controlled cooling or annealing that adds strength and durability. This process typically takes 24-48 hours. All of my pieces are created and fired in my home studio, which is smoke free.
