This labradorite necklace with a labradorite focal pendant and moonstone and sodalite beads is a dark necklace with lots of inner light. It represents the night, which is seldom truly dark. There is moonlight (the moonstones) and starlight, represented by the blue fire of the labradorite and the sodalite star beads that dangle beneath the focal piece.

The labradorite is a 14 mm high quality blue flash rose cut cabochon. Internal fracture lines can be seen in this stone, which is natural for labradorite and doesn't mean it is weak. I set the stone in a filigree setting and attached a comet tail of rainbow moonstone drops and sweet blue sodalite stars. The pendant hangs from a 16 inch (40.5 cm) box chain, and the entire necklace is antiqued to a dark grey hue, which brings out the flashy light of the labradorite and moonstones. The length of the entire pendant is 2.4 inch (6.3 cm).
