Ring Care:

-If you would like me to refinish your ring, just pay to have it shipped back to me and I'll re-oil, wax and polish it for you for no cost. It should only take a couple of days and I'll even pay to ship it back to you.

-This ring is carved from solid hardwood stock and finished with true handmade tung oil and a combination of carnauba and beeswax.

-Getting the ring wet occasionally is ok, your ring is water resistant but not waterproof. Water also may dull the surface of the wood. It's recommended to take the ring off while showering or washing.

-It's important to remember your ring is made from a natural product which will become accustomed to its surroundings. If the ring gets wet on a daily basis your ring may loose all it's natural and applied oil and wax which will cause the ring to dry out.

-Re-applying oil and wax to your ring is recommended on an occasional basis to help protect and extend the life of your ring. Any natural wood oil and wax should work, I use olive oil and beeswax on the rings I wear. Waxing the ring should be done more often than oiling the ring. Oiling the ring should be done when the ring is starting to show significant wear. Waxing the ring often will help to protect the natural and applied oil in the wood. When oiling the wood you should liberally coat the surface and let the oil soak into the wood for 10-15 minutes before wiping dry with a clean cloth. Waxing the ring should only be done once the oil is dry. To wax the ring, wipe a good amount of the wax on the entire surface of the ring and let sit to dry. Once the wax has sat for 10-15 minutes buff the ring with a clean cloth. The waxing process can be repeated as many times as you like but 2-3 coats is recommended. Remembering to wax your ring occasionally will help to greatly extend the life of your ring.

-It's important to not let any harsh soaps or chemicals soak into the wood as it might damage or discolor the wood. The ring should also be kept from being smashed or come under any sort of pressure or load or any sudden shock like an overzealous high five. This may cause the ring to break.

-With a certain sense of care, gentleness and occasional maintenance your ring will last for years.
