This listing is for a beautiful black thick silk Edwardian Era dress.
For its age, this dress is in excellent and wearable condition!

It is a deep, dark black with hand-made lace detail.

The bodice has a subtle checkerboard pattern and snaps closed down the front.
There is an additional (modern plastic snap which was obviously inserted more recently) that closes the skirt to the bodice. It seems like there needs one more additional snap to fully close the skirt portion to the top.

The skirt is fully lined with a thick soft black cotton. The bodice is unlined.

The skirt has two layers, a longer layer and then a top shorter layer which is scalloped all around.

The dress is really in amazing shape for being a century old!

There is small hole on the shoulder and a small hole by one of the scallops. There are a couple of itty bitty pin holes in the silk on the front skirt too. They are absolutely not noticeable though. There is also about an inch tear on the top of the right shoulder that could most likely be mended.

The dress is very sturdy and wearable.

Measurements:

Bust 34"
Waist 26"
Length 50" (from shoulder to bottom)

Please feel free to ask any questions. Because of the age of this garment, I prefer to ship in a flat rate medium priority mail box, but I could investigate less expensive shipping for those interested.

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
