Circa very early 20th century goldfilled locket. The locket has a little etched star
on the front with a little stone at center. This may be a diamond chip or it may just
be a paste. The locket still has one photo inside which may have been put in place
by the original owner. The photo depicts a Victorian woman with parted hair and
a high-collared bodice. The frame is still in place on this side but the other side
has no frame. The locket also has a couple of dents in the front which are I think
are rather charming elements. The back of the locket displays the monogram "ELH".
The locket is strung on a 23" goldtone chain. This was with the locket when I
found it but I don't think it is original. Aside from the aforementioned dents and missing
frame the locket is in excellent condition showing only light, normal surface wear.
It measures 1 and 1/8" across.
